DUROARC 316L Seiki Smooth performance sealed cast iron Size:20in Smooth performance sealed cast iron pump operates twin pistons for faster rising action to reach maximum rise height in under 5 pumps (no load) 12 channel output (10 high level DUROARC 316L is suitable for welding pressure vessel food machinery medical machinery fertilizer and other industries as the weld metal contains proper amount of ferrite and the cracksensitivity is low Due to high Mo content it has excellent corrosion resistance The arc is soft and stable less splashing beautiful in shape good in slag removal stable wire feeding andhas excellent welding performanceGENERAL CHARACTERISTICSFast smooth corrosion resistant welds without spatter can be made in all positions with this electrode Excellent protection to the weld deposit is produced by the slag from this special coating yet it is easy to remove after slight cooling Carbide precipitation and the resultant intergranular corrosion is prevented by the low carbon contentTYPICAL APPLICATIONSUse to weld 302 304 308 and 316L stainless steels Used for fabricating and repair of normal and low carbon Molybdenumbearing austenitic stainless steels Used to weld pipes fittings tanks etc in paper mills and chemical plants Used also by the food dairy and distillery industries Can be used to overlay steel that must resist corrosionWELDING TECHNIQUESPrepare area to be welded by removing all foreign substances chemically or mechanically Grind or machine away old weld metal Deposit on AC or DC maintaining a close arc and employing stringer beads Back whip each crater and remove all slag between passesAWSASME 54 E 316L 16
